These terms are a working draft for the LexKhata website and application. Final terms must be reviewed before a public commercial launch.
1. Purpose
LexKhata is a financial record-keeping tool for advocates and other legal professionals. It is not a case-management system, court diary, legal research service or legal-advice platform.
2. User responsibility
Users are responsible for correctness of entries, security of their device, protection of app credentials and maintenance of valid exported backups.
3. No professional advice
Information shown by LexKhata does not constitute legal, accounting, tax, investment or financial advice.
4. Data loss and restoration
Successful recovery depends on the availability and integrity of a compatible backup file. Users should keep multiple secure backup copies.
5. Subscription and purchases
If subscriptions are introduced, plan terms, price, renewal, cancellation, refunds and restoration of purchases will also be governed by the applicable app-store or payment-provider rules.
6. Acceptable use
Users must not misuse LexKhata, attempt unauthorised access, distribute harmful code, infringe intellectual-property rights or use the service for unlawful activities.
7. Availability and changes
Features may be updated, changed or discontinued. Temporary interruption may occur because of maintenance, app updates, device limitations or third-party services.
8. Intellectual property
The LexKhata name, software, visual identity, documentation and website content are intended to remain protected under applicable intellectual-property laws.
